Key Details About Amazon’s Cookie Policy:
- 24-Hour Cookie Window: If the customer buys the product that you linked to (or any other product) within 24 hours of clicking your affiliate link, you’ll earn a commission on that sale.
- Cart Purchases: If the user clicks on your affiliate link but doesn’t immediately purchase the item, but adds it to their cart within 24 hours, they still have the potential to purchase within 90 days (and you’ll earn the commission). However, the commission only applies to products purchased within that 24-hour window.
- Cross-Product Commissions: If the customer clicks your link and then buys other products on Amazon within 24 hours (even if they are not the product you originally linked to), you’ll earn commissions on those items as well, depending on the category and commission rate.
Example:
- You share a link to a smartphone through your Amazon affiliate link.
- A user clicks the link and views the product but doesn’t buy it immediately.
- If they purchase the smartphone, or any other item on Amazon, within 24 hours of clicking your link, you will earn a commission.
