How do affiliates create their HopLinks?

Creating a HopLink on ClickBank is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to generate a unique affiliate tracking link for any product you want to promote:

Steps to Create a HopLink:

1. Log into Your ClickBank Account:
   • Go to the ClickBank website and log into your affiliate account using your username and password.
2. Access the ClickBank Marketplace:
   • Once logged in, navigate to the Marketplace by clicking on the “Marketplace” link at the top of your dashboard.
3. Find a Product to Promote:
   • Use the search bar or browse through the categories to find the product you want to promote. You can filter products by category, popularity, or commission rate.
   • Each product has a “Promote” button next to it. When you find a product you’re interested in, click the “Promote” button to generate your unique HopLink.
4. Generate Your HopLink:
   • A pop-up window will appear with a form asking for your ClickBank nickname (your affiliate ID). This is where ClickBank will track your sales.
   • Enter your ClickBank nickname (usually your username) in the provided field.
   • You may also have the option to add tracking IDs (optional). This allows you to track which specific marketing campaigns or traffic sources are performing the best. For example, you can use a tracking ID like “FacebookAds” or “EmailList” to see where your clicks are coming from.
5. Create the HopLink:
   • After entering your nickname and any optional tracking information, click the Create HopLink button.
   • ClickBank will then generate a unique URL for you, which will look something like this:

6. Copy Your HopLink:
   • Once the HopLink is generated, you’ll see it on the screen. Simply click the Copy button next to the link to copy the HopLink to your clipboard.
   • You can now use this HopLink in your marketing campaigns (on your website, in emails, on social media, etc.).

Optional: Add Tracking IDs

• Tracking IDs are optional parameters that can help you track specific traffic sources or marketing campaigns. For example, if you’re running a Facebook ad campaign for the same product, you can add a tracking ID like ?affiliateID=YourAffiliateID&trackingID=FacebookAd. This way, you’ll be able to see in your ClickBank reports which traffic sources are performing best.
• You can also use multiple tracking IDs to track various traffic sources (e.g., one for an email list and one for a blog post).

Example of a HopLink with Tracking ID:

In this example:

• affiliateID=12345 is your ClickBank nickname.
• trackingID=FBAdCampaign helps you track the source of the traffic (e.g., Facebook ads).
• productID=XYZ identifies the specific product being promoted.
